Song of Authenticity

Beneath the surface, where currents tangle and old voices echo, she swims. Mermaid of the depths, her song a clear stream through a sea of shadow.
Others reach, hands hungry for pearls not their own, whispers snare and swirl, but her heart, bright as a lantern, remembers me.
She lets their nets pass through, refusing the mask, refusing the lure of borrowed dreams.
Instead, she rides the tide of her own music, undaunted, fluid, and complete; hair streaming, tail glimmering, every note a sovereign call to her ancestors, every breath a vow.
She knows: to become herself is the bravest journey; to guard her vision, to surface and sing, no matter the storm or silent depths.
So she rises; tender, untamed, unmistakably herself. A melody weaving new color through the world, A promise only she can keep.
“The Mermaid, the Vision, and the Courage to Remain”
There’s a moment in every life, when the currents of expectation, comparison, and subtle pressure pull at our hearts like undertows. It’s so easy to let others' dreams drift in, to mistake their vision for our own, to set aside the melody only we can sing.
The mermaid reminds us: true artistry, true living, is a swim through both light and shadow.
She holds her flute not just as an ornament, but as a wand of creative power and a channel for her own sound. The swirls and colors around her could be distractions, or they could be the ripples of her unique vibration echoing out into the cosmos. The difference? Her choice. Her intent. Her refusal to let go of her original song, even when others try to copy, claim, or silence it.
Pushing through to our vision isn’t about force—it’s about faith. The discipline of authenticity:
To not pick up someone else’s mask,
To say “no” to imitation and “yes” to the slow, sometimes solitary growth of what is uniquely ours,
To recognize that our most radiant gifts may first appear in the deep blue hush, unseen by most.
Let your vision be your compass, not your armor. Let it breathe and change, but let it always be yours. If you feel others pressing in, trying to “steal” your light, remember: what is truly yours cannot be taken. It’s anchored deeper than envy, safe from the surface storms. Your only task is to keep swimming in truth, in your own flesh, in your own vision.Allow each day, each brushstroke, each note, each hue of color, rise from the honest depths.
Walk (and swim) in authenticity, at all costs. The world needs your melody, untamed, unbroken, unmistakably yours.
Affirmation:Today, I honor the vision that was seeded in me and no other. I walk, sing, and create as only I can; undaunted by shadow, undistracted by noise. My vision is my home.
